A Place Near Home

Following the success of The Off Season, The Newspaper Stories of Mike Lunsford (2008), and Sidelines: The Best of the Basketball Stories... (2009), comes Mike’s newest collection of stories, A Place Near Home (224 pages; $15), due to be released in the fall of 2011 by Shade Tree Press.

A Place Near Home is a compilation of 60 more of the best stories Mike has written for the Terre Haute Tribune-Star since he started his award-winning Page One column in 2005.  In advance praise of Mike’s work, author and newspaper columnist Kevin Cullen says, “Mike’s essays are love letters, hymns to family, friends, quiet walks and all that is good, true and permanent.”
